REMOTE candidates must be within a 3hr radius of CHI
Assist multi-state companies with state and local income tax issues including advising, planning, structuring and controversies
Lead state tax return review engagements focused on identifying and securing state income tax refunds
Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax controversies which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing the client at hearings and appeal meetings and preparing protests
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team helping clients with their most complex state tax issues, including organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions and general consulting matters
Review technical memoranda or slide decks regarding income, franchise, sales and use tax and other state and local tax questions
Build and manage client relationships and supervise, mentor and develop managers and associates
6+ years in public accounting with an emphasis in SALT
Experienced with both S Corp and Partnerships
CPA license or EA is required
M.S. in Taxation is preferred
Competitive base pay ($110k- $150k) DOE
