We are based in Gloucester, MA, and are looking for a Senior Research Scientist to join us in innovative scientific research and education! We are the world's first dedicated genomic research institute and have established a world class biotechnology research institute on the Gloucester waterfront.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be using your experience in marine genomics and bioinformatics to advance innovative research projects by using molecular or computational approaches. Having a strong publication track record as well as a history of successfully being awarded grants is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in comparative genomics and methylomics.

What You Need for this Position

Must Haves:
- Strong publication track record
- Experience in Biotechnology
- Experience in Marine Genomics
- Ph.D. in Genomics, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Marine Biology, or a related field
- Experience with Bioinformatics (bioinformatics and analysis of large sequencing data sets)
- Background in applying genomic approaches to marine-related questions
- Experience with Biomedicine
- Understanding of Ecosystem Function
- Fisheries & Aquaculture experience

Nice to Haves:
- Experience in Methylomics
- Comparative Genomics
