I have been a technology recruiter for 15 years and love it! Prior to recruiting I was in technology for 19 years...please don’t add up the years :). My last ten years in technology I was a development manager for PepsiCo. I recruit for all types of technology roles whether applications (my personal background) or infrastructure across all industries. I myself have been a developer, business analyst, project manager and manager. If I did not do the role I interfaced with it especially on the infrastructure side. I’m very visual and I can actually picture almost every role as if the person was sitting in their seat. I try to build a benchmark immediately and calibrate quickly on feedback to truly target the search. My corporate upbringing has not only taught me the technology skillset but more importantly what culture means and therefore “fit” within each of my clients companies. I’m passionate about recruiting and all my placements are like marriages!
I'm a technologist at heart. I have as BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University (school of Engineering) in Computer Science with a minor in Math. I’m very big picture and need to know how everything fits in, which translates well when recruiting and understanding how the role fits into the organization. When I was younger I always loved to connect the dots and that’s what recruiting is all about. I love people and it’s amazing from the start of a new role to placement how the dots all connected together. I’m a strong relationship builder and have long lasting ties to clients and candidates for years. I take pride in these relationships the same way I take pride in my personal friendships that last forever! I met my husband in college and have two fabulous kids (now working adults) and that all comes from working hard at my relationships!
Recruiting starts with people. We do the most amazing thing, we change people’s lives! I truly listen, love feedback, especially the bad, that feedback is the only way to grow and get better. My job is to make a marriage, help a client fill a very important void that will impact their business. For the candidate I’m not only working with them, but I’m taking care of their family too, this is all personal to me!
