We are looking for an experienced, team oriented plant Production Supervisor/Production Supervisor for an established, locally owned company.
This is a day/first shift role, Monday thru Friday, maybe some Saturday half day work but not always on the schedule.
The responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following:
" Overseeing and directing all the production operations of the Plant operation.
" Help to set-up, implement, optimize and troubleshoot operations.
" Developing and implementing all aspects of a preventative maintenance program for all machinery in the plant.
" Developing and implementing safety compliance with all OSHA guidelines for the plant and for all employees.
" Developing written procedures to ensure Best Practices for the facility/operations.
" Conducting daily inspections and spot inspections and plant walk through to identify needs in the plant.
" Making sure all machinery and equipment is in prime working order.
" Minimize down time and improve production time through analysis of equipment improvements.
" Implementing all Company Policies and Procedures to ensure a safe, friendly and legally compliant workplace for all employees.
" Ensuring compliance with all safety rules and procedures within the company.
" Reviewing the performance of all employees during their probation period and annually thereafter.
Qualified candidates SHOULD bring as much of the following to the role as possible:
" 2-3 plus years as a production Supervisor, ideally in a similar industrial environment.
" Qualified candidates will bring a minimum of a high school diploma.
" Strong managerial skills - strong organization, documentation, mentorship, etc., with the ability to work as a team builder, mentor and coach
" The Supervisor/Manager must be flexible and be able to work occasionally on scheduled days off.
" Background in environmental, health safety - Strong OSHA/Safety compliance and training skills.
Other similar HEAVY DUTY equipment/Industrial background is applicable.
" Familiarity with washing and reprocessing plastic
" Bi-lingual is a plus- both Verbal and Written English/Spanish skills a PLUS.
What's In It for You
This role is a Monday through Friday 5:00 am-1:30 pm shift, and rotates being on call Saturdays.
This person in charge of single day shift, and will report to the General Manager.
