We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to join our team and manage our plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of production activities, ensuring key performance metrics are measured and met, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the continued success of the plant.
Position Overview:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and monitoring plant operations. This includes managing personnel, safety management, operational efficiency, and budgeting/expenditure control. The Plant Manager will also be responsible for managing process control, quality assurance, and compliance with regulations. The Plant Manager will be accountable for meeting production and cost targets, as well as for maintaining operational systems that enable the team to meet all corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all plant operations, personnel, production processes, and equipment
Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to improve safety, efficiency, and quality
Monitor operational performance and adjust operations as necessary to ensure production goals are met
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage and review the performance of personnel
Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve plant operations
Supervise and develop staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement
Manage budgets and expenditures
Monitor and review inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant management
Knowledge of plant management principles and techniques
Experience in food and food manufacturing is preferred
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance processes
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
