Job Title: Technical Architect - Java
Job Requirements: Hands-on Java Development, Architecture, Design, Microservices, Spring, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Angular, and Client-Facing skills
Job Locations: we are open to candidates in Charlotte, NC or Des Moines, IA
**Please note: this role will begin remote (for another 6+ months) but will require you to work on-site in Charlotte or Des Moines thereafter.

What You Will Be Doing
- Hands-on Java Development, Design, and Architecture
- Lead the technical direction of overall system development
- Responsible for spearheading and approving design decisions
- Facilitate information exchange between customer and offshore teams
- Architect the solution, prepare alternate design concepts & approach
- Own code quality and architectural coherence of code
- Architect complex third party integration
- Responsible for regular refactoring/code hygiene
- Review and prioritize technical issues to be fixed
- Release Management
- Data Migration
- Recruit, Interview, and Hire additional team members
What You Need for this Position
Must-Have Skills:
- Java Development, Design, and Architecture expertise
- Recent hands-on Java development (you'll be required to pass a coding challenge)
- Spring/Boot framework experience
- Angular/Ngrx experience
- Proven background with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
- Microservices expertise (Discovery, Gateway, Config Server)
- High-level Strategic Architecture experience
- Client-Facing experience, specifically with large customers
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Spring Security - Oauth2
- Working experience in Financial Services, Banking, Fintech, or Mortgage domains
- Redis
- RabbitMQ
- Docker/Docker Swarm
- PostgreSQL
- Pivotal Web Services
