Job Title: Federal Account Manager
Location: Washington, DC
Salary: 150k base (300k OTE)
THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE (Prefer a candidates within the DC area)
Based in Washington DC, we make any information visible, collaborative, and proactive for people tasked with monitoring critical operations and incidents. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Federal Account Manager that possesses strong experience with DOD and AV technology.
Responsibilities:
Proactively find and qualify new business prospects in the DOD sector by utilizing our expanding network of partners.
Create or improve a territory strategy with the highest value customer goals at the top.
Quarterback pursuits: overseeing the internal and external teamwork actions necessary to complete the task, from qualification to close.
Collaborate with the engineering team to schedule site visits, technical "deep dives," quote/pricing assessments, and demonstrations for potential customers who meet the requirements.
Continually study the strategic orientation of DOD commands in order to determine how effectively to position our present technology and notify Product Management of impending needs.
Prepare accurate quotations that closely match the needs of the customer by working with the engineering and approval departments.
Respond to proposals (RFIs, RFPs, sole source, etc.) that meet qualifying requirements by working with internal personnel.
Maintain weekly reporting and pipeline analysis while updating opportunities in our Salesforce CRM.
Collaborate with Customer Support to ensure that accounts in your territory continue to be highly satisfied and easily referred to.
Contracts for ongoing maintenance should be negotiated with current clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
7+ years of sales experience closing 6-7 figure deals (preferably in the DOD market)
Proven relationships within DOD activities - AF, Army, Navy, COCOMS, DoDIIS, etc.
Willingness to travel to US cities and OCONUS destinations as required to conduct sales activities, and foster relationships.
AV technology, switching, panels, and VTC experience is strongly preferred
Deep relationships in DOD enabling rapid access to command-level entities such as PEO-EIS, NETCOM (Army), AFMC, ACC, AOCs (AF) as well as DISA preferred
NASA and State Dept experience preferred
A rolodex of contacts working at leadership levels within the Federal System Integrator (FSI) community - e.g., Leidos, Booz Allen, LMCO, Northrop and General Dynamics preferred
Intelligence Community experience with Top Secret and above clearances preferred
