Who you are:
Bachelors degree in engineering
5+ years of experience in engineering leadership
Strong people leadership and mechanical engineering experience
Proven results in coaching and developing engineers into leaders, partnering with operations, program management and manufacturing engineering collaboration in the Aerospace industry
Knowledgeable of GD&T ASME, machining, casting
What you will be doing:
Manages a group of engineers responsible to Support new product development, production, purchasing and quality departments on engineering changes or issue with the products.
Oversee the schedule and budget for assigned engineering projects.
Identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing needs within the NPD organizations as well as with support organizations.
Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet program specifications.
Interface with customers to ensure customer needs are understood and met.
Support sales and customer care department on technical questions and product support.
Responsible for generating and revising technical documents such as drawings, engineering reports, test forms and test procedures.
Product development of items that are based on existing products where a full development cycle is not required.
Support the CAR Team on production corrective actions and product improvements.
Provide status and progress reports to customer, engineering team, and management
Conduct customer training, both internally and externally.
Troubleshooting assembly and testing production issues.
Redrawing in CAD and releasing to production old hand sketches and drawings.
Responsible for the document control area and the distribution of controlled documents.
Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers.
Prepare, review, and approve technical drawings and documents.
Provide the delegation of signatory authority to direct reports for preparing and/or approving technical drawings and documents.
Responsible for ensuring all direct reports have been training to the most current engineering policies and procedures.
