Job Title: Water Renewal Data Analyst
Location: Englewood, CO
Salary: $70,000-$85,000
Requirements: 3+ years experience in Data Analytics in Water, Wastewater, Energy or other utilities; Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Science or Engineering; knowledge of Power BI and database software, SCADA data, laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
Who We Are
We are the third largest water renewal facility in Colorado. We are publicly owned by the cities of Littleton and Englewood and serve 20+ communities. Our Data and Regulatory program is responsible for managing data and reporting for permit compliance, internal project tracking and performance metrics, treatment process tracking, environmental sustainability metrics, and public facing information.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintains accurate internal plant databases for operations, laboratory, asset management, and financial information, utilizing our enterprise software systems.
- Develops, updates, and maintains reports within our business intelligence platform to make data accessible to all staff
- Organize and lead data governance team meetings and appropriate management and delegation of data governance projects, interdepartmental collab and QA/QC
- Coordinates with operations & maintenance, laboratory and engineering staff to provide solutions for data management, data architecture, workflows and reporting needs
- Establishes and effectively manages data and information systems, including identification of solutions that lead to automation and efficiency of routine processes and reporting
- Coordinates with consultants, internal data user groups and City of Englewood IT to develop and implement technology solutions meeting a wide variety of needs
- Leads specific database development, data analysis, and geospatial projects as needs are identified
- Puts in place appropriate QA/QC and maintenance measures to ensure that datasets and reports are accurate and current
- Periodically audits data systems and reports for continued relevance and accuracy, and recommends new data management solutions when appropriate
