We are seeking a dynamic and innovative controls engineer to join our team. As a controls engineer, you will play a pivotal role in troubleshooting, optimizing, and advancing our controls systems.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams, contribute to success of plant expansion projects, maintain strong focus on safety and efficiency by performing the following:
- Perform preventative, routine, emergency maintenance of control/networking systems
- Advise on equipment selection, considering digital and analog I/O, cabinet, system design requirements
- Provide oversight of external controls vendors, ensure clear work requirements and successful delivery
Programming and Design:
- Design, code, test, debug moderate to complex programs
- Develop HMI with easy-to-understand graphics, automating steps, implement necessary messaging and alerting
- Drive standards to ensure reliability, develop maintenance replacement plans
- Adhere to SOPs for development, documentation, code backup
- Manage controls cabinets, ensure proper maintenance and documentation
- Oversee controls network communications, collaborate with IT to minimize performance/security risks
Safety and Training:
- Provide 24x7 support for critical plant controls systems issues
- Promote a safety-first culture within the controls team, ensuring effective interactions within the plant
What You Need:
- 3+ years controls engineering, Bachelor's or combination of equivalent work experience and automation technical degree and:
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, related components, and Logix programming
- Proficiency in various HMI development tools- Factory Talk View, Aveva InTouch
- In-depth understanding of automation technologies, controls systems design, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills, bonus points for a background in industrial food/beverage processing
