Construction Bid Estimator

This is a Construction Bid Estimator role, pivotal to the short and long-term success of the firm, and requires a candidate with integrity, experience, and professionalism. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for bids and proposals of all types. This will range from negotiated work, to CMAR, to design-build, to traditional design-bid-build procurement methods.
- The focus of this role will be traditional design-bid-build procurement, i.e. Hard bidding against competing general contractors.
- Leading the effort of our pre-construction services, working with firm owner and firms project managers.
- Identify high-risk bid document / scope provisions and implement strategies to mitigate risk during pre-construction.
- Lead pricing, value engineering, site selection investigations, and building assessments
- Set up projects for success by establishing cost, schedule, and safety expectations during pre-construction.

- 5 years of estimating experience with commercial (and/or industrial) construction projects of $5MM+.
- Demonstrated experience as lead and/or sole estimator on awarded bids.
- Demonstrated experience that awarded bids resulted in successful and profitable projects.
- Demonstrated experience in thriving in the high-pressure environment of competitive bidding.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff
