Job Title: Superintendent
Location: 1 hour radius Albany, NY (HQ in Latham, NY)
Compensation: $80,000- $110,000 Annual Base Salary (Depending on experience), Health Benefits, 401K Pension with 6% Salary Match
Requirements: 5+ years as a Superintendents in GC industry; worked on projects in public sector such as K-12, higher education, multifamily, industrial, or retail; must be able to commute within 1 hour radius of Albany area
I am currently working with one of the most reputable GC construction companies in upstate NY that focuses is several commercial areas including K-12 Education, Retail, Multi-Family, Industrial, and more. These projects can vary from $1 million - $10 million and on occasion, up to $50 million.
Due to the recent project load increasing, they're looking to add a Superintendent to their Commercial team! The Superintendent will manage and oversee one project at a time for a variety of projects in and around Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring successful completion and client satisfaction.
- Ensure that all project goals are met within budget and on time.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractor work, materials, and personnel to meet project deadlines.
- Supervise and inspect material deliveries and subcontractor work for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Manage project documentation including daily reports, logs, and timesheets.
- Provide clear and regular communication to clients and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project progress and budget.
- Identify and resolve potential problems before they occur.
- Ensure that project safety and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, General Contractor, or Project Manager in K-12 Education, Retail, Multi Family, or Industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Project Management software, and other related applications.
