We are seeking a Remote Senior Systems Engineer to be responsible for plan design and implementation of a computer systems architectures that meet the company business requirements. This person will be expected to work with limited supervision to support test and production suites of applications in a mission-critical health care environment. They will also update, troubleshoot and maintain the infrastructure to ensure production, development and test environments support the design, implementation and processing of business applications.

What You Will Be Doing
- Troubleshoots problems with servers, applications, network services, and related systems across the nation
- Designs and maintains Windows, Storage, VDI, and Systems infrastructure to meet business goals
- Collaborates with and coaches help desk and other staff in pursuit of break-fix and preventative maintenance goals
- Works with vendors to deploy new systems and/or migrates old systems to new systems
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of operating systems, networking, and healthcare-related technology
- Leads peers to accomplish infrastructure maintenance and operational tasks, including the outline of necessary steps to safely achieve goals
- Assists in the monitoring of systems and processes to protect reliability and uptime, and resolves issues as they arise
- Leads Root Cause Analysis and incident post-mortem sessions to help incrementally improve operational metrics
What You Need for this Position
Required:
- Bachelor's in IT, Engineering, or related
- 7+ years of hands on experience as an engineer specializing in IT Infrastructure development and maintenance
- Implementing and troubleshooting MS Operating systems, Unix, VDI, VMware, Core Network, and associated services
- Implementing and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and patch management lifecycles
- Implementing and troubleshooting server and workstation builds in a hardened enterprise environment
- Understanding of web application security, cybersecurity vulnerabilities and common countermeasures
- Significant background in systems and network security
- Thorough understanding of capacity planning, performance management and cost optimization strategies in an enterprise environment
- Command of Cloud Computing fundamentals, especially GCP
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Technology
- Command of end-user provisioning automation, managing users and permissions
Preferred:
- Google Workspace and GCP experience
- Expertise with terraform for resource provisioning
- MCSE, VMware, and Cloud Certifications (GCP)
