We specialize in providing customized public safety policy services and cutting-edge policy management software tailored for law enforcement, corrections, fire and rescue, and local government organizations. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director of DevOps to lead and evolve our DevOps initiatives, focusing on enhancing security, achieving SOC2 compliance, and managing robust infrastructure across both cloud and physical data center environments.
What you will be doing:
-Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with our objectives and adheres to industry best practices.
-Provide thought leadership in selecting cloud resources effectively in collaboration with application developers and architects to ensure optimal component selection, cost management, and security compliance.
-Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance development workflows and promote a swift, reliable release process.
-Manage the creation and maintenance of scalable infrastructure across development, QA, and production environments utilizing AWS and managing co-location facility operations.
-Ensure visibility and control over the performance of deployed infrastructure and applications to maintain operational integrity and prompt issue resolution.
-Define and enforce operational processes including documentation, training, runbooks, escalations, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortems to recover quickly from unexpected failures.
-System Security: Implement and monitor rigorous security measures to protect all technology systems and data, ensuring compliance with SOC2 requirements and other relevant standards.
-Lead audit practices to ensure traceability of actions on systems by all stakeholders, highlighting the necessity for effective auditing solutions.
-Deploy and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to provide actionable insights into system statuses, addressing both security and compliance needs.
-Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop DevOps team members, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
-Proven experience in a Senior DevOps role with a strong background in cloud services architecture, particularly AWS (including API Gateway, Lambda, MySQL).
-Experience managing SOC2 compliant systems and a deep understanding of IT security principles.
-Demonstrable ability to manage and scale high-performing teams with excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Extensive experience with DevOps and SRE practices.
-Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
-Expertise in IT compliance including ISO 27001:2013, PCI DSS, and SOC2.
-Strong skills in automation and configuration management tools.
-Established performance testing center of excellence to test reliability, performance, and chaos testing for major events.
- Developed and maintained custom and enterprise tools/services supporting internal platforms and initiatives.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
