We are a real estate development firm based in South Florida, and have been involved in some of the most noteworthy additions to the South Florida real estate landscape. We have been around for over 10 years specializing in Multi-Family development projects and rapidly expanding.
What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our high-rise projects, including condominiums, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality
-This role involves strategic planning, risk management, contract negotiations, budgeting, and team management
-Supports the investment team in business development activity including acquisitions, development RFPs & proposals, Build to Suit proposals, and leasing proposals
-Lead role for construction and design related aspects for such proposals
-May also work on project management/construction management RFPs & proposals
-Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction division, including setting goals, establishing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
-Manage relationships with stakeholders, including investors, contractors, architects, and local authorities, to ensure smooth project execution
-Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring the best value and quality of work
-Oversee risk management processes, including identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing corrective actions
-Prepare and manage construction budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting future costs, and reporting on financial performance
-Lead, mentor, and develop a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
-Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate these into the construction division's operations
What You Need for this Position
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role in the construction industry, preferably as a VP of Construction
-Proven experience in real estate development and high-rise projects, including condominiums
-Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
-A Masters degree or MBA will be an advantage
-Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
-Excellent strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
-Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial planning, and contract negotiations
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
-Knowledge of construction laws and regulations, and experience in risk management
-Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant technology
-A commitment to continuous learning and development, and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and best practices
-The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and a problem solver, with a passion for excellence in construction
