Title: Systems Engineer
Location: New Prague, MN 56071 HYBRID POSITION 3 DAYS/WEEK ONSITE
Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 + Bonus

Founded in 1992 we are a global manufacturer of equipment used in the production, storage & end-use of hydrocarbon & industrial gases. Annually we do $2 billion in sales and have increased headcount by 10% in the past 2 years up to 5,000. The companys product & solution portfolio across stationary & rotating equipment is used in every phase of the liquid gas supply chain. We are a leading provider of technology, equipment & services related to liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, biogas and CO2 capture amongst other applications. We have the need for a Systems Engineer which will be involved in a very math based role working on all stages of a project, from development through installation and commissioning.

What You Will Be Doing

1) Develop process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) based on customer specs
2) Perform calculations i.e. fluid flow analysis, heat leak, pressure vessel thickness, pressure-building, vaporizer sizing, and/or piping and valve sizing
3) Assist in development of general arrangement and production/assembly drawings
4) Work w/ sales teams & customers to gain understanding of system requirements
5) Provide updates of design status, drawings, BOMS & purchased equipment
6) Work w/ shop & project management to meet customer & engineering requirements for fabrication, assembly & shipping
7) Conduct onsite field checkouts & commissioning of equipment

What You Need for this Position

1) Bachelors in Mechanical or closely related field
2) 3+ years of experience in engineering, design, fabrication & commissioning of mechanical equipment used in pressure vessel, boiler, or oil & gas industry
3) Working knowledge of industrial codes & engineering practices in oil & gas industry i.e. ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1 & NFPA 52/59A
4) Experience w/ MathCAD, Matlab and/or Mathematica
5) AutoCAD / SolidWorks modeling software preferred
6) Experience w/ mass manufacturing facilities preferred
7) Understanding of heat transfer, structural analysis & fluid flow
8) Basic understanding of cryogenic liquids, compressed gas & their properties
