What You Will Be Doing
Construction Project Superintendent shall have a recognized four-year or higher college degree in architecture, engineering, OR construction management and 4 years experience as a project superintendent, or have at least 10 years construction experience in which 5 years were experience as a project superintendent. The project superintendent will be held responsible for the quality of work and is subject to removal by the Contracting Officer for non-compliance with the quality requirements specified in the contract. In this context the highest level manager responsible for the overall construction activities at the site, including quality and production is the project superintendent. The project superintendent must maintain a physical presence at the site at all times and is responsible for all construction and related activities at the site, except as otherwise acceptable to the Contracting Officer.

Preferred Additional Qualifications
Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certified.
The CQM is a stand-alone position but it would be helpful if the Superintendent is familiar with CQM since the Superintendent must supervise the CQM Manager. An alternate CQMis also required, if the Superintendent is certified, he/she could support the project as an alternate.
Site Safety
Health Officer (SSHO), USACE EM385-1-1 Certified.
The SSHO is a stand-alone position but it would be helpful if the Superintendent is familiar with the standards since the PM must supervise the SSHO. An alternateSSHO is also required, if the Superintendent is certified, he/she could support the project as an alternate.
Anti-terrorism Force Protection: This project includes Blast Resistant exterior doors and windows.
