Senior Staff level Typescript Engineer

Creating the next wave of social interactions. our platform is great for sparking conversations with friends and getting personal with those in your community. we are a small team in Santa Monica that serves over half a million users (since our very recent launch), and now we are looking for another all-star to join the squad. We are growing at a rate of 150K installs per month!

-5+ years of experience building scalable, resilient backend systems
-Experience working on and deploying, large scale systems in Typescript, or other similar languages
- Proficiency in concepts related to data modeling, data storage (SQL, NoSQL, Graph DBs, Redis)
- Enjoy and have experience building, efficient, well-documented APIs (GraphQL)
- Hold yourself and others to a high-quality bar when working with production systems
- You are able to take complex product goals and efficiently deliver working software in logically consumable pieces and on schedule
- You take pride in your work
- You have a strong product sense
- You love typescript, and building + scaling web applications

- Design, build and improve APIs, services, and systems across all products
- Help scale our backend architecture and migrate to a service-oriented future
- Working collaboratively with and mentoring other engineers
- Driving overall architecture decisions
- Ensure standards for engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and reusability
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
