What You Will Be Doing
Machine shop prototyping and small scale production experience with Computer Aided Machining (CAM), CNC milling techniques, sheet metal fabrication design.
Formulates conceptual and preliminary designs, performs tests, takes measurements, and performs system analyses of simulations.
Design analysis and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with respect to structural, thermal, and other mechanical failure modes.
Review reports on design analysis and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with respect to structural, thermal, and other mechanical failure modes.
Applies reverse engineering and reengineering disciplines to develop innovative designs and apply production planning and manufacturing documents.
Prepares conceptual designs, proposed mechanical system layouts, schematics, and diagrams; develops design solutions, and prepares relevant procurement and design documentation.
Utilizes Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and associated Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software approved by TYAD (SolidWorks, Pro Engineer and AutoCAD).
Familiar with AS9100D quality standards, and the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
