We're a mid-sized security company (~100 people) with recent funding on a mission to ensure the security of many global organizations. Our solution software is configurable for both local and multinational organizations and has evolved into the lightest, most scalable endpoint solution in the world.
Our HQ is based on San Jose, CA and we do have offices in the UK, Netherlands and Australia.
This will be a contract to hire role that is fully remote.
What You Will Be Doing
- You'd be porting our Linux client to AIX and Solaris, we do not have an inhouse team so you'd be acting as a contractor for this purpose.
- Our client monitors all file system accesses, network accesses, and process starts and stops.
- We're going to be using our own inhouse engineers for the common code portions of the client (such as the parts which communicate the collected information to our servers, for instance).
- We need contractors to work on the OS specific portions which do the actual monitoring and for overall guidance on building on that OS platform. Code will be written in C++.
What You Need for this Position
- 4+ years of experience in relevant roles
- Experience developing software under AIX, Solaris, or Linux (RHEL or CentOS)
- Low level or kernel level development experience is desirable
