Based in The Bay Area, we are a Series B startup with $30M in funding. We have set out to innovate ultra-low power technologies for IoT products, that enable you to live a smart connected lifestyle through various wearables, mobile devices, and consumer electronics. Currently, we are in need of a Sr. or Managerial level Field Applications Engineer with strong embedded design experience. You must have a desire to work with the customers and be an active member in the sales cycle.
What You Will Be Doing
-Work closely with sales and marketing team as well as rep/disti sales to support customer design-in activities starting from pre-sales activities
-Debug and bring up customer design including software, hardware and system level
-Assist customers in Bluetooth, microcontroller and application programming
-Feedback customers inputs to marketing and engineering to develop new chips and reference designs
-Review customer schematic and PCB layout and provide suggestion
-Host technical trainings for customers and distributors/rep
-Breakdown of role: 25% pre-sales/demos, 50% design with the customer , and 25% working with the engineering team
What You Need for this Position
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Must-Have's:
-At least five years of experience designing/supporting consumer devices using microcontroller, sensors and wireless.
-Solid electrical engineering, software/firmware development, digital & analog circuit fundamentals and lab skills are a must.
-Strong written and oral communication and teamwork skills are required.
-Must be comfortable with pre-sales/demo responsibilities and talking with customers
Nice-to-have's:
-Experience with wireless standards such as Bluetooth, WLAN, NFC, or Zigbee will be a plus
-Application experience with ARM based microcontroller are strongly desired.
