Job Title: Sr. Embedded Software Developer - C, RTOS, Networking
Job Location: Plano, TX - (Candidate may start remote but will be expected to work out of our Plano, TX office post-Covid)
Compensation: $130K - $150K+ base salary plus comprehensive benefits package

What You Will Be Doing
- Define, Maintain, Enhance and perform work in adherence of the ISO/TL9000 Quality Management System
- Define system and subsystem based on customer, CTO and PLM requirements and industry standards. May cover meeting potential or current customers.
- Prototype, as required, to choose between design/implementation alternatives and schedule implications.
- Work individually and with your team to develop exceptional products that are industry leading and meet required performance specifications while meeting cost, quality and manufacturability metrics.
- Create and execute test plans - unit test, integration test, product test and solution test.
- Generate, analyze, report on in-process metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work with other functions to create and improve documentation, training, tools and marketing materials.
- Work with PLM and Operations team to release products to volume deployment.
- Mentor and train other engineers to improve our overall product development capabilities
What You Need for this Position
Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar with the following technical skills/experience:
- 5+ years experience as an embedded systems C programmer using a real time OS.
- Java/ Python/ Shell Scripting experience
- Familiarity with layer 1 protocols such as GPON, Gigabit Ethernet and xDSL.
- Strong experience in Packet based switching applications, from layer 2 to layer 4 applications based on TCP/IP and UDP.
- Familiarity with Broadcom switch and SDK
- Experience and understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) technologies.
- Experience with high availability/failure recovery design.
- Experience in embedded Linux or VxWorks or other RTOS.
- Expert level troubleshooting skills
