***This is position is hybrid - work from home 3 days a week, work in the Calabasas office 2 days a week***
Based in Calabasas, CA, Our client is currently looking for a Sr. Accountant with 4+ years of professional accounting experience to join their team. The client is well-known as a very successful public traded Technology Consulting Services firm that has achieved consistent year over year revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of experience working as accountant in Big 4 and/or Public Accounting along with some industry experience ideally at a Public Traded Company where they have successfully worked on Financial Reporting projects.
The Sr. Accountant will work very closely with the Sr Director of Financial Reporting and will be a valued member of the Financial Reporting team that is responsible for supporting the Companys financial reporting including quarterly earnings releases, SEC filings, technical accounting and other related projects. Prior experience doing Audit work would be big + along with an individual comfortability of excelling in a fast paced independent working environment.

What You Will Be Doing
" Assists in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q,10-K, 8-K and proxy statement
o Prepares footnotes
o Maintains supporting work papers (i.e., tie-out support)
o Prepares supporting schedules and analyses, including incorporating and reviewing information provided by other groups, to be used as support for SEC filings (includes having an understanding of the analysis, performing data validation and ensuring divisional reporting consistency)
o Ensures compliance with required SEC and GAAP disclosures
o Responsible for XBRL tagging
" Supports quarterly earnings release process
" Works with FP&A group in preparing various reports, presentations and analyses
" Accounting for stock-based compensation
" Assists in maintaining and updating the Companys accounting policies
" Ensures SOX compliance related to financial reporting
" Manages timely completion of deliverables for audit of internal controls and financial statements
" Works on ad hoc requests from management
" Plans and performs work according to set timetables
" Continuously improve processes for accuracy and efficiency
" Maintains high-level technical accounting expertise by obtaining required CPE credits for CPA license and reading pertinent accounting and reporting publications
What You Need for this Position
"Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent required
" CPA or CPA candidate required
" Minimum three years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred), or equivalent experience with combination of SEC reporting and public accounting
" Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required
" Preferred systems experience:
o Working for preparation and filing of financial statements
o Hyperion FCCS and Essbase
