Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are an established (20+ years) and growing Mechanical Engineering company specializing in a variety of consumer and medical technology products. Our newer location in San Diego (3 yrs.) is staffed with a most talented small team of MEs and growing.

In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of products and tasks. You will contribute to all multidisciplinary aspects of the product development process.

Job functions:
-creative problem solving and engineering concept development and design
-Design with plastics, sheet metal, extrusions, castings, and mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
-FEA and Computational Fluid Dynamics work
-Mastery of best-in-class design methodologies with advanced CAD surfacing
-Vendor sourcing and procurement
-Client interacting and presentations


- Lead, advise, or assist in the design and execution of all projects from initiation to
completion, ensuring on-time submission of deliverables.

BS or MS ME degree.
Ability to travel up to 25%
SolidWorks and Sheet metal experiences with prototyping

Possess between 7-10 years of experience and knowledge of:

- Medical Device Development preferred
- Strong Customer interaction skills
- SolidWorks/Creo
- Experience with motors and controls and a variety of product designs
- Prototyping
- Manufacturing Technologies
- Sheet fast urethane
- Injection Molding
- Sheet Metal
- Design
- Rapid Prototyping
- Proof of Concepts
- production prototyping
- 3D CAD
