What You Will Be Doing
-research and develop product innovations for use on large autonomous mobile equipment
-perform feasibility studies
-evaluate and select system architecture required for product innovations
-estimate time and cost requirements for products that require innovation
-perform design work, create algorithms, and create necessary documentation
-select hardware and software tools necessary to perform validation and troubleshooting on product innovations
-conducts prototyping and development testing necessary to support product innovation
What You Need for this Position
-Bachelors Degree in Engineering
-6+ years relevant experience in an engineering environment
-Experience related to application of new technology to products
-Experience of engineering principles related to mobile equipment
Required knowledge base:
-controls engineering processes & techniques
-mobile communication, including protocols (e.g. CAN/J1939, Ethernet) & physical integration
-hardware, computing platforms, and operating systems (e.g. Linux)
-system modeling techniques (e.g. Simulink, Labview)
-object oriented programming languages (e.g. C/C++, C#)
-one scripting language (e.g. Python, Matlab)
-electrical and hydraulic schematics
