What You Will Be Doing
-Provide technical leadership role within the Engineering department to solve difficult software challenges or problems or to bring in new technical capability
- Design, develop and test embedded software for space products
- Develop C or assembly code for Bootloaders, BSP, VxWorks 6.9 or 7.0 and future versions, device drivers, future operating systems such as Linux
- Able to debug, test, and verify component and board designs through software
- Develop IP Patents, Technical Publications or White Papers.
- Develop test programs, test plans, and verification plans
- Represent Engineering in technical customer discussions / meetings
What You Need for this Position
-Fluent in C, strong VxWorks background, development of bootloaders, VxWorks BSP, VxWorks 6.9 and 7.0, device drivers and test code
- Skilled in low level hardware code development and debugging. Skilled with debuggers/In-circuit emulators.
- Linux development experience a plus
- Good understanding of FLASH memory file systems and implementation is a plus
- Experience and skills in debugging using lab equipment and other tools
- Ability to work in a team setting effectively
- Successfully problem solves and manages conflict
- Has analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills
