We are looking for a REMOTE Senior TypeScript Engineer to help launch and support multiple e-commerce brands. Our team is incredibly small, so the right candidate is self-motivated and very comfortable tackling entire projects on their own. Some technologies we use are Node, React, TypeScript, JavaScript,Jest, Slate (by Shopify), Elastic Beanstalk (and other AWS tools), Recharge (a recurring payments app for Shopify), Foundation (CSS), Zeplin, and we're always looking to use newer and better tools.

What You Will Be Doing
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design user based interactions through effective backend architecture
- Write clean & functional code primarily on the backend
- Work cross-functionally with support, engineering, marketing and product; to help stakeholders understand complex issues in their own language
- Payclose attention to quality, testing & fixing bugs or other coding issues as they arise
- Be a subject matter expert with multiple internal tools, monitor, troubleshoot & debug software related issues
Who you are:
- 7+ years of experience as a Backend Developer or Engineer in a fast-paced, high volume company
- Deep understanding of Typescript or Javascript
- Able to effectively communicate with technical and non technical stakeholders, ableto explain complex concepts to a diverse audience
- Able to ask the right questions, take initiative & be resourceful when faced with new & complex challenges
- Familiar with modern web services & APIs
- Analytical & methodological approach to problem solving
