Position Overview:

The Senior AI Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge AI systems for various gameplay and character behaviors. They will work closely with the game design, animation, and programming teams to create immersive and engaging gaming experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and AI technology, with experience in behavior trees and gameplay. Knowledge of animation technology and performance analysis is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement AI systems for gameplay and character behaviors
Collaborate with game design, animation, and programming teams to ensure seamless integration of AI systems
Incorporate NPC behavior systems to our gameplay
Optimize AI systems for performance and stability
Conduct performance analysis and implement improvements as needed
Work on AI technology and tools, keeping up-to-date with industry advancements
Create and maintain documentation for AI systems and tools
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior AI engineers

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field
5+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on AI systems
Expertise in C++, with knowledge of other programming languages such as C#, Python, and Lua
In-depth understanding of behavior trees and gameplay mechanics
Experience with animation technology and motion matching
Strong understanding of 3D math and algebra
Experience with vehicle AI, path finding, and NPC behaviors
Knowledge of networking and multiplayer gameplay
Experience with PC and console platforms, including PS4 and Xbox
