What You Will Be Doing
You will work with a team to help create, configure, manage and maintain a large global physical server architecture (multiple server farms). The position involves working with multiple internal customers and groups, using industry standard tools and software, and creating resilient infrastructure on which to run applications and services. The position will require infrastructure will be deployed and controlled via open source monitoring tools (such as Nagios, Zabbix, Graphite), hosting code in git repositories, being deployed and tested automatically.
Responsibilities
· Participation in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide support for global server infrastructure
-Mentor team of Site Reliability Engineers with reliability and automation responsibilities
· Participation in software release process, either in an automated fashion or manually, as the situation dictates
· Use industry accepted best practices to accomplish job objectives
What You Need for this Position
Advanced experience with at least one scripting language apart from Bash (e.g., Ruby, Perl, Python, Go) with an automation-first mindset
Deep knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RedHat) internals and system administration, including configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting
Extensive experience building and managing Hybrid Cloud environments using platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS, and VMWare
Experience in migrating & supporting applications on Kubernetes
Strong background in deployment management tools like Ansible, Salt, Chef & Puppet.
Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and orchestration tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible
Experience automating provisioning of servers at scale, using tools such as Kickstart, Foreman etc.
Experience configuring open-source observability solutions such as Nagios, Graphite, Prometheus, and Grafana
Ability to troubleshoot networking issues in a Linux and Hybrid Cloud environment
Strong understanding of common Internet protocols and applications such as SMTP, DNS, LDAP, HTTP, TLS, SSH, and SNMP
Familiar with distributed version control systems such as Git
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
