Job Title: Director of Engineering
Location: 100% Remote forever!
Salary: $200k-$290k DOE + Annual Bonus (20%-30%) + 401k Match

We are a multi faceted leader in the digital marketing and media industry that specializes in lead generation, customer acquisition and performance based marketing. We create financial web properties, products, tools, and content that connect brands with their most valuable audiences.

On our own sites, we drive new customers to our advertisers' products and services, matching our clients' targets and beating their customer acquisition goals. We also provide full-funnel marketing through custom content and video to promote client brand messages and products. Our approach generates stronger awareness, branding and targeted audience engagement across millions of consumers both on our sites and our partner sites. For our partners, we improve their monetization efforts through native ad units and branded comparison tables. We work with large publishers to grow their audiences and ad revenue by syndicating our original content.

The Director of Engineering will be responsible for managing two groups of developers focused on our two core businesses, Credit Vertical & Personal Finance. This role will manage tools and features that are consumer facing and will make an impact to the growth of our business.

An ideal candidate will have strong executive presence with the ability to lead cross-functional meetings, as well as a strong mix of both technical skills and the ability to drive strategic thinking. We are looking for someone with strong managerial chops, the ability to dive deep into data, and effectively communicate their findings and recommendations to our business leaders. This role will work across various teams across multiple time zones-- strong communication skills are a must.

What You Will Be Doing

- Manage, mentor and grow a team of engineers (both in-house and off-shore) that are focused on innovation and delivery
- Manage the execution of your team's roadmap to achieve the business goals, based on highest priorities and highest impact
- Constant learning and discovery of new platforms and technologies that can accelerate our growth and help us operate more effectively
- Build strong relationship with peers in Product, Data, Analytics and PMO
- Seek and on-board tier one talent on a continuous basis
- Run and improve an agile/rapid development process
- Develop architectures that will scale under load and allow for rapid development in the future

What You Need for this Position

- 8+ yrs experience managing software teams that deal with consumer facing customers and work on tools, features, and websites that are consumer facing
- Experience working on consumer facing sites that have seen massive growth
- Experience working with Python, Node.js, and PHP
- Extensive experience in AWS
- Experience performing code reviews
- Strength in Agile software engineering processes and methodologies
- Experience working at a high growth company that you helped aggressively scale
- Experience managing onshore and offshore teams across all time zones
- Experience working for an AdTech, Digital Media, Digital Marketing, and / or Performance Marketing company
- High-level communicator who seeks team collaboration and shared success.

- Passion to build systems and technology to address automation, scale and innovation
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS in CS preferred)
