What You Need for this Position
Experience as a Project Manager
Experience working at a general contractor
Experience with projects such as high-end retail (highly preferred), fitness centers, restaurants, medical buildings, offices, and/or other commercial projects
Interior fit-outs projects
Ground-up experience (plus)
Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate and control costs
High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
What You Will Be Doing
Write project scopes of work for subcontractors
Meets with Estimator to review project
Reviews construction drawings to bid set
Contacts clients project manager to confirm start-up requirements
Prepares and distributes construction schedule
Conducts job start meetings on-site with all sub-contractors and personnel
Addresses unforeseen field issues with the project Superintendent
Generates weekly updated budgets with projections including all associated costs to complete. Reviews projections in relation to estimating budget
Provides Bookkeeping with percentages of completion and all approved change orders for invoicing
Review and complete all project close-out requirements
