What You Will Be Doing
As a Program Underwriter you will be tasted with monitoring and assessing underwriting and claims activities of managing general underwriters and agents (MGUs). You will monitor applications, denials, quotes and bound policies produced by the MGU's and assure MGUs are performing within their authority utilizing agreed upon processes and practices. Along with these day to day tasks, you will be expected to develop and manage long-term relationships with MGUs as you continue to grow the business.
What You Need for this Position
Must Haves -
- In depth knowledge of the Insurance market.
- Able to use underwriting tools, applications and guidelines
- Maintain knowledge of market environment and trends.
- High relationship and communicational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Nice to Haves-
- Bachelor's degree in insurance or finance
- CPCU, AU, or CIC certification preferred
- Experience with MS-SQL Server
