What You Will Be Doing
-Organize and oversee the creation of software products and product upgrades.
-In C, evaluate the kernel and applications of embedded Linux software.
-Carry out Linux kernel, BSP, bootloader, and driver evaluation, specification, and integration.
- Maintain current software platforms, conduct root-cause analyses, apply bug fixes, and add new features.
-Obtain the necessary level of technical review assistance for the project documentation.
-Assure timely and cost-effective project completion.
-Guide team members in the development and testing of embedded software.
-Offer programming staff at lower levels technical direction.
What You Need for this Position
- BS degree in Computer Science, advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 yearsexperience in Embedded Software Development.
- Extensive experience in development of Wireless Technologies.
- Extensive experience on Embedded Linux Platforms.
-Strong knowledge of C/C++.
- Must have good written and verbal skills with the ability to present concepts clearly and concisely using programs such as Word, Excel (charts), and PowerPoint.
-· Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.
Desirable Skills:
-Experience with Linux distributions, toolchains and open-source projects, (i.e. Buildroot, Yocto, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Experience with a wide variety of drivers, back-porting techniques and other low-level issues
- Experience with board bring-up and debugging techniques using a variety of tools & techniques.
- Experience with 2/4-wire Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, AT command-sets and NMEA message strings.
- Experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with Eclipse, CCS, Static Analysis, Perforce, Git, Jenkins and other such development tools.
What's In It for You
This position offers a salary range of $170,000 - $190,000 Annually, plus competitive benefits and perks including vacation & PTO, medical, dental, vision, bonus, 401k, and relocation.
