As part of the CyberCoders Accounting & Finance team, the Payroll Staff Accountant supports Finance, Accounting and Senior Management in the areas of accounting, payroll calculations. They prepares and maintain accounting and financial records for use by internal staff to support the understanding of payroll and compensation.

What You Will Be Doing

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Prepare calculations for review of Payroll and Bonus payments and ensure timely payments
- Preparation of journal entries related to payroll and bonus calculations
- Perform designated internal controls (e.g. revenue recognition)
- Maintain compensation tracking and calculations and provide information as requested by internal staff and executive management
- Serve as point person for commission and bonus calculations and tracking for company’s compensation plans
- Gather, audit and process commissions data each pay period in partnership with shared services payroll team
- Compare draw requests against draw availability each pay period
- Reconcile and maintain draw balance for each recruiter and balance against company financials.

Additional Duties including:
- Recommend improvement to general accounting activities so as to ensure compliance with governmental and organizational procedures and policies, and to also ensure the most efficient and effective operations.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Assist in maintenance of company placement tracking (billings) to ensure accuracy of records
- Serve as back up for accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
- Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.

EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5 years of related accounting experience is required, to include but not limited to: accounting, internal control, compensation and payroll.

Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office with intermediate experience in Outlook.
- Intermediate Excel 2013 or newer experience required including V-Lookup and Pivot Table exposure.
- PeopleSoft software experience a plus.
