Job Title: Sr. Matrimonial Litigation Attorney OR Partner (hiring both)
Job Location: New York, NY Onsite
Salary: $150-$250k
Requirements: 10+ years experience as an attorney in Matrimonial Cases (1st chair experience preferred)
Headquartered in the big apple, we have been servicing the northeast since 1926, specializing in areas such as Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, tax, Family/Matrimonial, and Intellectual Property. Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Matrimonial Litigation Attorney to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Represent clients in matrimonial litigation, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division cases
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on family law matters
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, attend court conferences, prepare cases for trial and serve lead trial counsel
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate and advocate aggressively in court when necessary
- Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and billing entries
- Collaborate with other attorneys, legal professionals and experts to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Stay current with changes in divorce and family law and attend relevant legal education and training programs
What You Need for this Position
10+ years experience as a Litigation Attorney in Matrimonial/Family Law, Intellectual Proptery, Commercial Litigation, or Employment and Labor
**Must be admitted into New York Bar**
*Must have a significant portable book of business*
