Job Title: Lead Backend Software Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid - Mondays & Thursdays in office)
Salary: $200k-$235k base DOE + Equity
Requirements: 8+ yrs experience in cloud based service and application development with high volumes of incoming data

What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a Lead Backend Software Engineer to be hands-on coding with design, architecture, and implementation of a product. You will create new event driven architecture as well as maintain and improve upon on existing architecture. You will have the opportunity to guide and mentor junior engineers with best practices. We are working with large volumes of incoming data that are event based from vehicles in real time that must be processed and stored.
What You Need for this Position
Must Have Skills:
- 8+ yrs experience in cloud based service and application development
- Proficient in Golang
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with Big Data Platforms with high volumes of incoming data (Lambda, Kafka, Cassandra)
- NoSQL
Nice To Have:
- Startup experience
- Automotive tech experience
- Experience with Cloud Native Platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices)
- Real-time data processing
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Python
- Postgres
