Belle Arriaga is an Associate Manager at the Southeast Division of CyberCoders. She's a Florida State University Alumni and a First-Generation college graduate. Before coming to CyberCoders, she was a District Sales Manager at Frito-Lay/PepsiCo, a position that she was offered after completing the company's Summer Internship. While she was grateful for this experience, it wasn't the right fit for her. Her search for a role that better suited her skillset ultimately led her to CyberCoders. She describes this career move as the best decision she's ever made for her career and her life.
Belle started with us in February 2020, and since then, she's received several accolades like back-to-back Rookie of the Quarter for Q4 2020 and Q1 2021. In her first year, she was promoted twice - from Recruiter to Executive Recruiter and from Executive Recruiter to Associate Manager. She continues to grow professionally and thrive in this remote recruiting environment.
Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to learn more about her and hear her advice for anyone looking to join CyberCoders.
What is your favorite part about being a recruiter?
My favorite part about being a Recruiter is the opportunity to work with both candidates & clients on a nationwide level. I also love being able to connect experienced candidates with their next long-term employer & helping them as they transition into a career change for the better!
Tell us about an exciting job match you made recently.
I recently began working with an Alaska based firm that I was connected with through a client referral! I was excited to work with them since this was my first client referral, but this was also a bit of a change for me since they are 4 hours behind me. Nevertheless, I placed an Underwriter at their firm in less than 2 weeks, and this candidate was thrilled since she was actively on the market & hit it off with the team immediately!
How has CyberCoders supported your success?
CyberCoders has challenged me, motivated me, and revealed my passion for recruiting. Since Day 1, I've had continuous support from my manager & VP of Recruiting, Chuck Cooke! He's really pushed me to be the best I can be and I will always be grateful for that! Also, since switching to working remotely, I've been able to manage my chronic pain disorder from home which is a big part of why I'm able to be a consistent top producer here.
What personal and professional goals has CyberCoders helped you achieve?
Personally, I've been able to achieve huge goals I had for myself including paying off my student loans, moving into my first home, and being able to help my family financially. Professionally, I was able to achieve the biggest goal I had for myself which is finding a job that I actually have a strong passion & motivation to do every day. Also, being promoted to Associate Manager is huge because I love leading and helping others to have similar success!
What advice would you give to someone interested in joining your team?
My advice would be - stay hungry. Even when success comes, it's important to remember how far you've come and never let go of what originally motivated you to be the best you can be. So, if you are interested in a work environment that is collaborative, competitive, and rewarding then my team is the spot to be!
