Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dedicated team in Jacksonville, Florida. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of our accounting operations, ensuring precision and efficiency in financial transactions. The Accounting Manager will employ best practices and strategic approaches to support our company's financial objectives as well as provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of accounting transactions, including journal entries, schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes, leveraging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems effectively.
• Prepare regular standard and ad hoc financial reports and variance analyses for senior management.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, collaborating with external auditors on audit and tax schedules.
• Lead tax planning activities throughout the fiscal year and oversee the filing of annual corporate tax returns.
• Manage cash flow transactions and support cash flow forecasting efforts.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls, work instructions, policies, and procedures within the accounting function.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve financial goals while adhering to accounting best practices and regulatory standards.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to team members in financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, project accounting, invoicing, fixed assets, inventory, and tax compliance.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, capable of working independently and across functional areas.
• Ability to lead the team in implementing best practices and driving operational efficiencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in cost accounting and payroll is preferred.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and data structures.
