Out of the beautiful Bedford Park, Illinois, we are an experienced contract manufacturer of steel forgings, delivering quality products to every market our clients need to be in. We are an innovative, progressive, and growth driven company, focusing our efforts on reinvestment to deliver unmatched global competitiveness for our customers. Due to recent growth in demand for our products and services, we are in need of a Factory Automation Engineer bringing at least 3 years of relevant experience with PLC control systems, robotics, and other custom automation solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for designing, programming, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all automation systems within the factory. These systems will include robotic material handling systems, PLC controlled machines, and other automated systems such as hydraulic presses. You will be the technical lead on new projects and machine installations for automating the factory and improving manufacturing efficiency.

What You Need for this Position

Must Have :
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as EE, ME, etc. or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of programming, troubleshooting, and designing PLC controlled automated systems

Nice to Have :
- Allen Bradley programming experience
- Robotics experience (Fanuc, ABB)
