What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare bids, conceptual cost models, and budgets; perform quantitative analyses of construction documents and project program requirements
- Review plans, specifications, and pricing. Secure pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers. Perform take-offs and pricing for concrete, rough carpentry, steel, interior finishes, and other miscellaneous scopes of work. Also, define and assemble accurate General Conditions/General Requirements costs
- Provide consultative guidance on constructability, schedule, phasing, and staffing
- Build and manage subcontractor relationships; facilitate bids and presentations
- Build and facilitate collaborative team processes among project participants including contractors, owner/developers, design professionals, and subcontractors
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field of study
- 3+ Years of General Contractor experience with related project experience in commercial construction (with related project experience in ground up and tenant improvement projects including design-build )
- Strong computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Procore and take-off software
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Working knowledge of construction costs and principles
- Estimating experience (quantity takeoffs, purchasing accounting; engineering design knowledge and project management experience desirable)
