Located in Las Vegas, we are an international manufacturing firm that is closely linked to the Casino Gaming industry in Las Vegas. We an industry leader in the software and hardware for used in slot machines, ATM's, vending machines, and more. We have an immediate and very urgent need to hire a well-versed Software Engineer. This person will be designing and developing software that can handle a very large amount of transactions and a short amount of time. Our ideal candidates will have 5+ years of C/C++ development experience and a strong background in object oriented concepts.
What You Will Be Doing
The developer is responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing, documenting, and integrating software products. Reviews, interprets, and executes software requirements and specifications. You will be working as part of a small team to create this new software for our company. The majority of the software is built in C/C++, but have a background in C#/.NET will also be an asset.
- Create and interpret specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug software design.
- Create well-written and well-documented maintainable code.
- Perform unit testing and reviewing of new/modified code with the goal of ensuring that bugs are not passed on to production or the customer.
- Maintain existing products currently in operation and enhance/develop new products.
- Develop new tools and technologies.
- Perform integration, validation, and certification of unit-tested software.
What You Need for this Position
- 5+ years of Embedded C/C++ software development experience
- Python development experience
- SQL Server experience along with the ability to write stored procedures
- Network Communication Protocols
- Web Services
- Experience working on both the Windows and Linux platforms
- JTAG Device experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent professional work experience
