What You Need for this Position
3+ years of managerial/leadership experience
5+ years of EE experience
Background in consumer electronics or software product management
IoT experience preferred
Direct experience developing consumer hardware and in R&D
Product Design knowledge to understand the tradeoff between technical and practical requirements
Familiarity with testing and delivery of hardware solutions
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
What You Will Be Doing
Manage a team of Electrical Engineers responsible for consumer electronics product development to drive products from pre-prototype to production
Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching, and mentoring
Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines in a team environment
Oversee assigned projects and produce documentation required for consumer product engineering and manufacturing development
Work with cross-functional engineering managers and architects on hardware and software integration
Communicate with overseas hardware and software developers regarding changes/improvements to hardware products
Testing and troubleshooting of prototypes
Perform research and stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends
Responsible for all communications of project-related issues to senior management, project team, factory and the customer
Making determinations for equipment, staff, and training needs
Ensure projects are properly staffed and milestones are achieved
