What You Will Be Doing
As the head of the software development team you'll lead a group of around 10 domestic an 5-10 offshore Software & QA Engineers. You will help drive our exciting software modernization effort and will ensure our product is web and mobile friendly. You will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing a team of talented engineers and building the team as we grow.
What You Need for this Position
General
- 10 years of strong software development background with recent deep & recent experience working for a software company
- 4+ yrs leading other engineers
- A hands-on leader who will work closely with the engineers
- QA automation focused nice to have
Tech-Savvy
- Hands-on leader with a strong Agile software development background
- Strong working experience with popular front-end and back-end software languages
- Data-driven leader who can measure the team's velocity, throughput, and quality to drive best practice
Delivery
- Consistently keeps a customer-first mindset
- Strong communicator through email, virtual, and in-person
Time Management & Leadership
- Prior experience working with onshore/offshore development/QA teams
- Ability to successfully juggle multiple responsibilities of equal importance
