What You Will Be Doing
- Monitoring workloads and maximizing hardware sources to maximize SQL Server performance
- Server consolidation and virtualization
- Performance tuning
- Addressing daily data integrity issues

What You Need for this Position
Must Have Skills:
- 7+ years working with Open Source databases (SQL, Cassandra, and MariaDB preferred)
- Experience with other databases/tools (TiDB, Yugabyte, CockroachDB)
- Experience with performance and tuning queries, partitioning and archiving tables, and consistency validation
- Expertise in scripting from scratch (Python, SQL, Perl)
- Experience managing a large scale storage environment
- Experience managing a complex database infrastructure
- Experience managing an ever increasing database scale while providing 100% uptime
- Experience with Configuration Management and Automation tools (Ansible preferred)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Excellent problem solving, investigative, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to mentor other members of the team
