Based in Boston, with offices in Dallas and NYC, we are a VC-backed SaaS startup seeking to increase educational access by leveraging alternative data sets.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong Data Analytics, Python, SQL, and SaaS startup experience.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Data Engineer, you will build and operate data pipelines that ingest relevant data and make the data accessible to our team.
- Develop backend ETL jobs and data pipeline code using Python and SQL
- Continuous Improvement - CI/CD
- Ensure engagement data and financial operating data are regularly synced into our data lake
- Ensure data is accessible to our business users and partners
- Build new underlying data pipeline operators and integrations in Airflow
- Automated testing and edge case handling to detect errors
- Build up BI system
- Support Data Science team through backend development and testing of new ML methodologies
- Support Engineering and Product teams by anonymizing upstream data sets to ensure consumer privacy detection and enable rapid iterations on our product

What You Need for this Position

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Bootcamp or upskilling program
- 2+ Years of SaaS startup environment experience regularly delivering features or equivalent experience building similar web apps
- Data Analytics: Airflow, DBT
- BI Systems: Tableau, Looker, Sisense, Apache Superset
- Python Programming
- SQL (NoSQL a Bonus)
BONUS:
- Cloud infrastructure: AWS or GCP
- DevOps - Modern Cloud and Container such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
