What You Will Be Doing
You will be performing routine and complex technical duties in troubleshooting and repairing of components within building automation field cabinets, sensors, and related controls. This is primarily a reactive role based in our office and when service requests come in from our clients you will go out into the field to take care of them. You may work under the supervision of a higher-level building automation technician and are expected to maintain all responsibilities and attributes of lower level technicians. The location of the work in the greater DC area with the majority involving mission critical government facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to building-automation-system field cabinets
- Safely perform point-to-point checkout per department standards and to mentor lower level technicians
- Responsible for the startup of simple to complex automation systems and mechanical equipment.
- Able to make complex program and graphic changes to meet specification and sequence
- Take part in solutions-based discussions with owners and project stakeholders
What You Need for this Position
MUST HAVE
- 1+ years of field service systems work
- Experience with Building Automation/Building Management Systems (BAS/BMS)
OR Experience with HVAC Controls systems
NICE TO HAVE
Any of the following:
- Automated Logic
- Siemens
- Matlab
- Schneider
- Johnson Controls
