Title: Audio Software Tools Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (ON-SITE) or Carlsbad, CA (ON-SITE)

Salary: $140,000-$200,000 (DOE) with full benefits

We specialize in product development & innovation for IoT related project and due to growth & demand we have the need for a Audio and Acoustics Systems Integration Engineer.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the design and prototyping of audio subsystems for AR and VR products

  • Support the design and prototyping of noise and vibration subsystems (such as VR fan systems)

  • Perform acoustic analysis of audio subsystems or noise and vibration subsystems through measurement, DOEs, and communicating results to cross-functional teams

  • Support the manufacturing of products by collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and/or CMs

  • Collaborate with internal teams to bring up development-level hardware for audio and acoustic testing. This involves working with development-level software and hardware

What were looking for:

  • Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing and psychoacoustics 

  • Acoustic test and measurement skills 

  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and presentation

  • Experience with MATLAB and/or Python coding

  • Experience with Soundcheck, Audio Precision, DAW (digital audio workstation) 

  • Critical listening skills for audio quality evaluations 

  • Strong technical communication skills, Self-motivated, flexible to switch contexts, and open to learning 

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • Prototyping skills (e.g., mechanical and/or EE) 

  • Experience with Android ADB 5+ years of relevant experience in Engineering
