Direct-hire position for an Associate Director of Clinical Translational Biomarkers for a pre-IPO biotech based on the novel findings by a highly-regarded lab at Gladstone/UCSF with a focus in neuroinflammation and other chronic inflammatory diseases.

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the CSO and working closely with the CMO, CEO, and scientific staff of ~10, you will be our first biomarker hire responsible for designing and implementing biomarker strategies for clinical pipeline with a focus on assets in late preclinical development transitioning to FIH studies. You will initially be a strategic individual contributor (with bench support from our scientific team) with the potential to build a biomarker team as our company expands.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and high-quality biomarker plans
- Play critical role in the development of novel assays
- Utilize and/or oversee techniques like NGS, IHC, PCR, FISH, flow cytometry
- Support transfer of assays to CROs for bioanalytical qualification for clinical studies
- Establish and lead cross functional biomarker teams
- Work closely with the clinical and regulatory teams
- Act as the biomarker subject matter expert
- Use statistical analysis methods to drive utility of multimodal biomarker endpoints
- Contribute to biomarker sections for clinical studies and regulatory submission
- Author and present biomarker strategies
- Perform other related duties as requested
What You Need for this Position
- PhD + 5 years' industry experience focused in clinical biomarkers
- Proven experience designing and implementing biomarker strategies for use in the clinic
