Our financial services client is looking for a VP of Digital Tag Management to join their team. This is a long-term assignment with the expectation of extending or converting to full-time (the budget is currently set for around 3-months, but the client has confirmed this is expected to be a long-term need).
This role requires candidates to work out of Chicago, New York, or Wilmington, DE on a hybrid basis (onsite 3 days a week, 2 days of remote work).
Key Responsibilities for this role include but not restricted to:
Partner with paid media stakeholders to provide consultation and thought leadership across, search, social, mobile, display and video while focusing on innovation and escalation
Maintain clear governance standards to key tagging and media/ad operations procedures
Placement of digital media tags within Tag Management Service for on-site tagging needed for campaign performance, monitoring, targeting, and other support across multiple platforms including proprietary Tag Management platform, DoubleClick Campaign Suite, & Adobe Insight/Site Catalyst
Provide quality control checks and documentation on setups completed by the team to ensure best in class executions and launches
Collaborate with business partners & technology to ensure data is transformed into analytically accessible and valuable data sets that can be used to answer critical business questions. This involves identifying valuable data variables and ensuring their final delivery
Understand and apply relevant controls for tag deployment, data collection, and protection of data and user privacy
Provide critical scale to changes within tag management procedures and technology, inclusive of providing SME inputs for the evolution of the technology tied to digital tag management.
Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation - job aids/procedures to assure quality of the deliverables
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 5+ years digital tag management experience or similar
Minimum 8+ years digital marketing/advertising experience
Minimum 8+ years of experience in digital ad operations, media and site tagging, marketing analytics, digital campaign performance measurement with web analytic tools
Experience with a Tag Management System transition (including vetting new systems, project managing the process and working stakeholders throughout the transition)
Hands on experience in Google Analytics, Adobe, JIRA, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, Ad Servers, Demand Side Platforms and Tag Management Platforms
Understanding of California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
