I received my first taste of recruiting as a Retail Store Manager almost 15 years ago. I quickly found I was able to accurately determine if someone would be a good, long term employee. During college I had the opportunity to become a Manufacturer's Representative and District Sales Manager. In this position, while calling on companies I learned how to access and identify their needs, thus building their trust in my abilities. After successive promotions which required me to put my education on the back burner, I decided to return to college and graduated with honors with a Bachelors in Marketing. I stumbled into recruiting by accident after walking into an agency looking for short term work while seeking full-time employment myself. After starting off with temporary placement, I quickly learned the benefit of working with professional level candidates and companies in corporate full-time placement. That was over 10 years ago.
When I was 10, I wanted to be: I truly don't remember, but I know it wasn't a Doctor, Lawyer or Fireman.
